Testimonials

From earliest infancy, play is the primary way children learn.  Through play, children eagerly use all the 'tools' they have at their disposal - their bodies, their relationships with their family and peers, and the world around them.  Play, more than any other activity, fuels the healthy development of young children.  It is through play that much of children's early learning is achieved.

“play deprivation” can lead to “depression, hostility and the loss of the things that make us human beings.”

Parents often feel that their children are not learning anything when they are "just playing."   However, this is part of your child's learning experience.  There are lots of wonderful  things learned when they are playing.

In play, children expand their understanding of themselves and others, their knowledge of the physical world, and their ability to communicate with peers and adults.

Word games, number games, role-playing, singing, and dozens of other methods allow you to mix the emotional, social, or cognitive challenge with fun. The more you encourage creativity and tap into the child's sense of fun, the easier it will be to introduce even greater challenges.

How to take two *Boring Hours* of a child's birthday party and  super-inflate it with
over 50 exciting
games

Make a child's birthday party one to remember.... forever.

Dear Parents,

Nobody wants their child, or their friends to be completely and utterly bored to death at their birthday party. Anyone can visualize a child's birthday being a complete disaster with parents and children leaving early without a great plan.

I don't want you to loose sleep over the planning of a child's birthday, it should be fun, exciting and rewarding not a dreaded and frustrating experience. Getting children to co-operate and listen AND enjoy themselves can be a chore to even the most seasoned veteran of child care.
  • You've scoured the Internet, looked at over 1,000 pages of written text until your eyes burned and felt sore.
  • You've probably talked to friends and found they had a few gems here and there to share or try but nothing they could specifically point out....
  • Perhaps you phoned around for birthday entertainment and heard you're bank account's subtle cries.
  • You've considered the time and effort it might involve trying to create your own games and worried deeply they may come across as "tacky".
What would happen if you had the Top 50 most exciting and entertaining games that kids around the world love to play sitting at your finger tips?

The truth is that a great birthday leaves a permanent smile on every child's face. It lights them up like a Christmas tree. It fills parents with a wonderful warm and happy feeling just to see their child enjoying themselves.

Imagine being able to almost instantly create those memories and inspire children with the perfect resource of childhood excitement and fun in your back pocket!

Other parents are going to want to know your secret after this...

Children will tell their parents, they'll be extremely grateful for being invited, they're going to tell the most jealous kids in school.  Memories like these are priceless and to some completely unattainable.

I know this, because I searched on line, visited my public library, contacted friends and no matter where I turned, I found nothing.   Nothing like what my parents and their friends had to hand when I was a child.

A Gigantic bag of priceless childhood memories awaits you..

Kids today are no different, and left to their own devices, most groups of kids will end up playing some sort of game. This is likely to be messy, or noisy, or dangerous, or result in some kids being left out, or worse still, hurt.

MORE ABOUT ME...

I remember going to parties as a child, proper parties with jelly, games and goodie bags. I’d start off by handing your coat over to your friend’s mum, feeling a little bit shy, all my clothes clean and well ironed. My Mum’s words about how I had to behave still clearly in my head. Don’t do this, make sure you do that, and I really intended to do everything she had told me. Then, on hearing a cheesy sing-a-long soundtrack being played in the background, somehow the devil in me triggered (or perhaps it was the food coloring in the orange squash). For the next hour, I whooped happily and ran around in circles.

I have compiled a complete list of the top 50 games from everywhere I could them.  These have already created some of the most memorable experiences there are
 to offer kids.

Included in that list are:

  • Hot Potato- This is a great game for small children, it improves their reaction times and dexterity with their fingers, everyone gets a prize and there are no losers. Ideal for the start of a party.
  • What's the time Mr Wolf?-An old time favorite with kids. It helps them with counting as well as with body control and is great fun for five or six children.
  • Musical Chairs-Another classic game. Children will run around and get very excited - they love it - but be careful to follow it with a more calming game.;
  • Musical Statues - A lot more calming than musical chairs, but just as much fun. It really teaches kids to be still. Probably something that every parent wants their child to learn.
  • Listen and Move - This game reinforces a child's ability to listen. They react to the music as they hear it. It's a great game for getting kids to appreciate loud and soft, fast and slow, happy and sad. It will help them to appreciate music differently in later life.
  • Feather -A great active game, in which no one gets hurt.
  • Farmer's in his Den -This is another old favorite. It's a chanting game which all young kids adore. It builds on their ability to make friends, and they love being in charge. It will 'bring out even the shyest of children.
  • Ring a Ring a Roses -This game has been played since Medieval times, and it has stood the test of time. It increases physical dexterity, and reaction time, as well as giving kids a song to sing. It's a game everyone plays together and it is a very useful for kids who have difficulty joining in.
  • Oranges and Lemons -Another singing game where everyone joins in together. It builds a child's ability to take turns and helps children who are not used to sharing.
  • Chinese Whispers -The English language if fickle, to say the least. This game teaches children how things can go wrong, with the spoken word. Very useful in later life.
  • Port and Starboard -A great game for young children. They love being able to learn and react to new words. It will build their confidence amongst their fellows and with adults.
  • Pass the Orange -This game, played in teams, teaches young children about teamwork. They learn very quickly what works and what doesn't. It increases their physical dexterity as well as teaching them about competition.
  • Sleeping Pirate -Getting kids to move about quietly is every parents dream. This game is all about being quiet, moving gently, and not disrupting things. Something all kids benefit from.
  • Balloon Pop -If you are likely to have shy or retiring kids at a party, this is the game for them. Their are no losers, everyone wins. It's great fun, and popping balloons is exciting, once they have got used to the noise of the first one.
  • Prompt Water Carrier -A great game for improving balance in children as well as teaching them to concentrate.
  • Hummock to Hummock -This game helps to improve dexterity and concentration. It teaches them about measuring and making effort worthwhile - and they love it.
Duck, Duck, Goose -  Running around, shouting, being competitive, and generally having a good time. This is what party games are all about.
